Nice I have picked up cars to do for people when they went on vacation. Good luck with it all. Also what amp are you using for that sub?

Jesse_Hunter 08-31-2010 03:12 PM

ah, you don't even want to know......

ha ha, I'm not very educated in audio equip. I went in with the theory that if I bought a super powerful amp, I'd just have left over power. I wasn't aware at the time that I could over do it.

I bought the 1200 watt 4 channel I think, It will only run a sub I believe. He already told me he's worried about it, but we decided to just see how the sub is going to do first.

bigaudiofanat 08-31-2010 03:50 PM

The gain knob can be lowered so you do not send to much power to your sub.

i wonder how much weight does it add.

You mean total? probably between 60-100 pounds. It's my daily driver so It isn't enough to concern me much.

bigaudiofanat 08-31-2010 05:53 PM

Shoot my daily drive my civic has about 30 pounds of just dynamat installed. Not really a difference but in a v6 car you will never notice.

Jesse_Hunter 09-01-2010 12:22 PM

I hauled around close to 100 pounds worth of stuff in the trunk on the reg, anyway.

I was going to install two way alarm also, but decided to wait.

It's just going to suck not being able to use the door buttons to unlock, I've gotten accustomed to not removing my keys from pocket.

Although, I'm going to be paranoid about all my new goodies. :eekdance:

Where did you put the Nav Antenna?

hdskull 09-08-2010 10:55 PM

Damn that sub box looks SICK!

bigaudiofanat 09-08-2010 11:02 PM

Not sure about the sub box it is different, does it have enough air space inside, for the sub?

metz 09-08-2010 11:26 PM

I like the box. Im going to imagine it continues under where we dont see. I cant stand a just regular box.

CBRich 09-09-2010 09:54 AM

Backup Camera. Probably the most worthwhile upgrade you can get for this car.

:iagree:

It is definitely one of the more creative looking box I've seen. I'm curious how it performs. Also it looks like the box stands pretty tall from the pictures. Does it affect your rear vision at all?

JayYoon 09-09-2010 03:02 PM

thats a cool rear view cam setup! gj!!!

kenchan 09-09-2010 03:40 PM

looking good indeed.

Jesse_Hunter 09-09-2010 05:35 PM

Thanks for the comments everyone!

The box is a little high, but I still have plenty of rear view space. It sounds amazing, its a little more of a mid feel, so airspace may be a little inadequite. Although, its a perfect sound for my tastes. my nav antenna is on driver side dash corner.

He's going to try selling those boxes on ebay, see how they do.
