The whole car has been matted, including the roof, 0g power wire run, then off to 4g to each amp, i have since hid a cap in the car also. i may switch to 2 shallow 10's in a few months, but we'll see. any questions let me know i have now had this car way apart interior wise.

Did you run the ground wire all the way from the battery?

No, i redid the stock groud wire with 4g, and added a 0g to the stock ground spot. It's always best if you add the same size wire as power to ground also, other wise you are limiting the flow of power by the stock ground.

Ah so you have both then going to the same ground location? Thought it looked weird to have a ground wire running to the amps from the battery.

Did you run MTX all the way around? Any particular reason for the brand choice?

Yeah, IIRC there are 2 bolts at the ground spot. As for the gear...i work for Mitek, and we own MTX, Streetwires, ect...

Ah that would make sense then, nice job on the install quality work.

Thanks. I did install for a number of years before my current job and still like to install sometimes.

Any heat issues with the amps down there, that is where I am currently installing my sub amp. Just waiting for the UPS guy to bring it to me so I can mount it to my amp rack.

No, but my amps are fan cooled, so...i would say run it, see what happends and if you need a couple 12v fans and you'd be good. What are you doing for a sub box, where will it be?

Zenclosure same place as yours.

Yeah, you should be ok, like i said, if not a couple little fans and you should be good.

When I worked for an AV distributor we carried MTX and I was actually very pleased with the quality of the product as well as the fidelity. I came from working at CC where MTX was only good for subs and some amps. They've done a lot to improve their products to encompass a complete line.

Nice work ST, nice to see other people that aren't scared to gut their toys

Looks great, good use of space, and nice to see someone else running the mighty MTX.:tiphat:
