iPod / iPhone Nav interface and Artist
 

When I attempt to scroll through artists on my iPhone 3GS running iOS 4.0, I can't seem to find a good way to scroll to the bottom of the list.

When I turn the wheel, it stops at the bottom of the screen and pauses, the changes one screen.

If I try to hit the Down button in the touchscreen it pauses and responds irregularly.

It almost seems like pressing Down arrow a lot works best.

This is on a 2009 btw.

Is there a better way to scroll through the list?

I have discovered the only way on my 2009 is to hold the down arrow and after scrolling a few seconds, the position counter at the bottom starts updating 5 at a time and you can move to a numeric position in the list, and then release the button to get that part of the list to display on the screen (after a few seconds).

Now I guess I need to create an A-Z mapping to artist #s on my iPod :icon14:
