Disconnecting my Amp safely?
So I need to send back one of my amp's because it stopped working. What should I do with the power connections that connect to the amp after I disconnect it? It'll be probably at least a week or so before I get either it fixed or a replacement.

Go under your hood take the fuse out of the fuse holder.
After that go to your amp take the positive wir out of the amp wrap it with electrical tape no not be shy with it. After that take your negative off and wrap that as well. Than the little REM wire or wake up wire wrap that as well no a big deal like the power wire but wrap them all. Rca wires you really do nto have to worry about unless you have a pioneer amp. I do all that just to be safe. But at the very least take your fuse out and wrap your wake up wire.

Just locate a large wire coming off your battery fallow it, if it was installed correctly there should be a clear case with a fuse inside. Sort of like this:

Ah okay, I see two of them. I'm guessing one for each amp? They are kind of hard to get to, but I'm guessing I just twist off one end? Should I leave it disconnected until I get the new amp installed? I'm kind of worried about securing the other end of the loose wire.

Just wrap the ends with electrical tap, if there are two fuses than the installer ran two power wires. You can take both of them out. Wrap whatever you think would be a problem.
