Here's a few teaser pics. Project is not done yet but a few pictures for everyone to enjoy. I will update pictures as we go along.
Special thanks to MEMPHIS AUDIO, PIONEER AND MAGDEN COMPUTER0 Feedbacks are welcome:tup::tup: http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/i...Picture094.jpg http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/i...Picture104.jpg http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/i...Picture108.jpg http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/i...Picture117.jpg http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/i...Picture125.jpg http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/i...Picture136.jpg http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/i...Picture141.jpg http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/i...Picture140.jpg |
Nice! In for the updates!
|
looks sweet! where in so cal are you located?! Would I be able to replace the speakers and D-Din Head Unit myself or would you recommend that I get it professionally installed?
|
Nice! Did you have to get an adapter and/or spacers for the door speakers? I'm hoping the Diamond Hex magnet can clear the window glass.
|
looks awesome cant wait to see the finish product

here are some of the pictures we took from HIN at we just finished it. We were rushed a little but we are going to re do the trunk a little
We also changed the headunit to AVIC-Z3 instead of the D3 to match the additional screen we did on top screen Feedbacks are welcome:tup::tup: http://i642.photobucket.com/albums/u...Picture247.jpg http://i642.photobucket.com/albums/u...icture1144.jpg http://i642.photobucket.com/albums/u...icture1156.jpg http://i642.photobucket.com/albums/u...icture1132.jpg http://i642.photobucket.com/albums/u...icture1097.jpg |
Looks incredibly SWEET! how much did it cost to buy and install the carpc in the cubby hole?
were the component speakers pretty easy to install in the doors and dash? I might just replace the stock speakers and put in the AVN 4430 HU for now once i get the car in 3 weeks. already got the head unit! |
looks amazing!! i put in my avic D3 and sold my old system (2 10s) to make a custom setup like yours. I actually want to keep the spare tire in and use a flat sub and make a custom box over the spare. whats ur opinion on the JL flat sub...or any flat sub for that matter
|
Dash looks awesome!! Is it possible to push the upper monitor into the dash flush with your custom bezel or is it like that due to the dash frame?
|
good job and thanks for giving me new ideas :D
|
I'm starting my install this weekend I'll post up the pics
|
i've got an AVIC-D3 and i <3 it, nice looking build!
|
I'm curious about that amp mount. How much can you tell us?

We used burch wood to make platforms to hold the amps. I wanted to use plexi glass and LED to give it that floating effect. We are currently working on that now:tup: |
i like what u did with the top part of the lcd where the cubby is. So like with the oil volt and time guages its just going to be blank? or u guys planning to take it out or whats going on? Cuz if this goes well i want to do something similar to this because I do not like the cubby..and i am trying to do a navi or this (new idea) =]

The magden computer can read 14 different readouts from the OBD-II. Unfortunately, it can only display 5 at a time. Since the volt and oil is already displayed on the pods, you can choose different sensors like AFR, AIR INTAKE TEMP, IGNITION TIMING, and COOLANT TEMP. Best part is data logging, You can actually data log your car before and after each mod to see if there is any difference. For example, with the intake wars going on with different manufacturers, i data logged my G37 with 3 different intakes to see which one had the most significant air temp drop during normal and aggressive driving. (COLD AIR INTAKE DOES MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE) As for the Navi, If you have a base model with without the bose, its easier to just replace the head unit to a double din with NAVI because you don't have to spend money to change the cubby. If you dislike the cubby that much then you have to get someone near your area to make a custom bracket just like what we did. Or you can always drive south to us and we can custom fabricate one for you:tup: |
Where did you hide the actual PC? My future plan has been to do a CarPC install myself - I figure I know **** about car audio setups, but building computers is easy for me, so why not :-p.

my :twocents:: Your only real demon is going to be heat production and getting that heat as far away from the case as possible as quickly as possible. large, low speed high flow fans will be your friend. Also, stay away from hard core game rig level computer hardware. Laptops are actually a really good solution with some work. PM if you want my laundry list from my build. |
Ive been building computers since I was around 8 or so, I'll be fine with that aspect of it. Also, my seats arent power.
