Im slowly collecting the stuff. I have all the speakers and the amps and deck, Im still working on everything else. Im running the morels, an alpine pdxm12, a pdx f6, 3 8w7's, and an alpine iva-w505 (had a second one with a broke screen I just repaired for 12 bucks). As for anything else I havent made all my decisions yet.

The 3" fits in the tweeter location? That would sure make a 3 way a ton easier to install.

the 3" I have will, I cant make that statement for all of them since they can all be a little different. Mine will go with little to no mod. Im not sure how those focal 4"s would go.

Normal 3 ways use 4 inch mids they do make 3 inch but you have to remember one thing about 3 way setups it is all about the imaging of the speakers not just where they will fit.

You know something Matt not everyone on here knows nothing about audio, I started doing high end audio back when you were still in diapers.

Just giving out some friendly advice. Rather do that than see someone throw away money. Also I do not know what you know and there are other people here as well.

I'm running the elate6 set. I believe I will get a good soundstage out of the dash. If I can't I will start building. I was the head custom installer at a shop for 10years and have previously been sponsored (it wasn't hard to get sponsored back in the day if you built nice things). I left it to pursue another career after the Internet and transshipping destroyed the audio business.

I am really interested in your setup, keep us posted how your 3-way setup works out.

I'll get going before too much longer. Since I no longer have a shop I've had to work on getting some tools together. Bought a table saw, built a router table, get my fiberglassing/carbon fiber stuff together, etc..
I've run multiple component setups up front but never a 3 way set. I'm planning to run 2 channels on the mid bass and 2 channels on the mid/tweet, off of the 4 channel. Any opinions on that?

i may have posted this before but anyway. i just put a set of JBL'S components
in my 09 using the stock HU which i still plan on replacing and it made a 50% improvement in sound. bigauto is correct in stating rear speakers our just a waste of time and money but to each his own its a free country.

i spent countless time and big money trying to get rear speakers to BLEND
with the rest of the system and never got it where it was right. and i'm not talking about the sub.

Why so? What did you use to integrate with the factory system?

When I tune my Bose system I always have a slight fade to the front for my tastes so I like rear sound but that's just me.
