Sorry it took so long to post. I've been working some crazy hours.

Ok here it is broken down.

1. They emptied the spare well out. They kept the foam in that held the tools. If you wanted a bigger box these could be removed though.

2. The sub. This is a JL Audio 13.5" W5. This is a shallow mount sub. I never thought it would give off as much bass as it does.

Sub2.JPG

3. This is the basic box they built for the sub. Nothing special just 3/4 inch MDF with a small mod. for the spare tire mount.

4. Next level is the factory foam. It fits perfectly back on without haveing to mod it. They did put some foam tape on the underneath to make sure it didn't rattle against the box.

5. Next they cut a peice of 1/4 inch MDF to sit right on top of the foam. This is the uncarpeted pic but it did get carpeted as you will see below.

Sub6.JPG

6. See here it is carpeted and fitting nicely around the sub. This is the last layer you will actually see the sub anymore. I wanted it to be unnoticable as possible. The car is flashy enough.

Sub7.JPG

7. This layer they cut a piece of 1/4 inch MDF to match the layout of the carpet and cut the hole for the sub. Then they routed out a square and put a peice of sturdy metal grating in so I could still set things in my trunk without damaging the sub. You cannot see the grate of course though because they carpeted the whole piece.

8. And this is how it looks now. Everyday.... can't even tell it's there until I turn it up and the Z on the carpet bounces. Looks pretty neat actually.

And this last pic shows the loc. of the amp. This space is right behind the strut tower bar and is accessed once you remove all your trunk carpet. Right now there is just a foam there.

Hope you all enjoyed the pics. If you have any questions I will try to answer them to the best of my knowledge. Oh and the cost of the setup ran close to $2000 but it is mostly in equipment. But the HD amps are worth it. The amp won't even turn off if it gets to hot, it just lowers its watts and continues to pump. Also my lights don't even dim any when the bass notes hit. Very impressive. Like they always say "you get what you pay for."
