It would not be able to be done, the climate control system is different in the nav than in the base and bose without nav.

FYI, i've seen systems from G37's on sale for ebay for not that much money. It is just a matter of either wiring and buying the navi cubby hole but I think that's about $350 or so.

You need the new radio/gps/climate brain (looks like 5k new) the faceplates, the wiring harnesses, the antenna, and the screen. You might as well mold an aftermarket screen/nav at that rate. |
I believe he is thinking if the 40ths overseas have the nav option that the us version would already have the wiring there

ic, I must have completely read the wrong thing hahaah.
Either way, I think too many people think that retrofitting a nav is that hard.... its not that much different than installing an aftermarket nav screen..... just gotta be creative and finding the right wiring or add wiring. I have retrofitted before and I even looked into it for my Z, just don't have the funds at the moment. |

:iagree: Not sure why integration is an issue. Lot's of positives doing this. I think you retain the car's value better with an integrated set up than an aftermarket set up. In the very long run, for those who intend to keep it forever, retaining the stock look holds the value of the car a lot more. Not sure if there is logic to this but the NAV upgrade is $1850. Wouldn't the cost of the hardware be reasonable then if that's the case? |
It would be easier, cheaper, and smoother to just trade in your Z and get one that already has one installed...
