Default power wire size for JL audio 900/5

I can't decide on what gauge to go with. The amp accepts 4 AWG but I was thinking of running 2 AWG from the oem battery to a small distribution block, then the 4 guage. Or is a good quality O2 free 4 gauge enough? IE: monster, tsunami etc... oh and i did do some searching! your input is appreciated.

4 gauge is going to be plenty run bigger if you are going to run a second amp later "doubt it". 2 gauge will probably not fit directly without a adapter to drop 2 to 4 gauge or distribution block first.

I personally was running 4 gauge back than 4 gauge into a dis block and 4 gauge out to two amps, a 1000 watt amp and a 60 X 4 amp never had a problem.

Thanx for confirming my suspicion. 4 gauge it is and yes only one amp for me for sure.

No problem, Kicker hyperflex is my main choice.
