power wire size for JL audio 900/5

I can't decide on what gauge to go with. The amp accepts 4 AWG but I was thinking of running 2 AWG from the oem battery to a small distribution

The amp accepts 4 AWG but I was thinking of running 2 AWG from the oem battery to a small distribution block, then the 4 guage. Or is a good quality O2 free 4 gauge enough? IE: monster, tsunami etc... oh and i did do some searching! your input is appreciated.
