2010 stock nav upgrade with iphone fix released

So i got an invitation to bring in my 2010 370z to the dealership as they have released a fix for all the iphone related issues (bluetooth, phonebook etc). They have also apparently fixed other issues in the nav.

Has anyone done this yet? Is it just a drop in dvd upgrade?

Haven't done it yet...but am excited to hear this was released

How did you get the "invitation"...mail? call? email?? Haven't heard anything from my dealer or Nissan...

I just called the dealer service department where I bought my car (Buena Park Nissan in SoCal). They looked up my VIN and said that I have the current system...yet my iPhone 3G w/ iOS4 doesn't completely work. The phone/bluetooth work, but the address book, iPod functions, etc. do not. Buena Park Nissan is more or less useless, so if there is any supporting information about this update...please pass that along....Thx.

Is this service under warranty or do you have to pay? My dealer is over 500 miles away if under warrant can I get this done at any dealer?

Can anyone shed any light on this situation? I'm also having the same problem (Iphone 3Gs with 4.0 software that won't cooperate with Ipod functions) and i'm sure it's not just limited to us 5. Saw the thread and called the Nissan dealer where I purchased my Z, they said they had no info from Nissan about a Nav update that addresses this problem. If you have any relative info please share. Thanks ahead of time. DB

Just called my Dealer as well. they haven't heard of anything for this, but are looking into it. Hope to have more info later. I hope it's not just Form/Interenet BS.

Apparently it is only for the roadsters

But they released a TSB for this problem. So we somehow have to convince the dealers to upgrade the nav systems on our regular cars as well.

I wascasking a serious question. I would have thought that Nissan would've used the same system and any update for one would work for all.

Sorry dude I think I confused you, basically all the '10 Z's have the same nav unit, the verts included. They released an update but they said it was only for verts which in my case leaves me without an update, which doesnt make sense because all the cars do have the same one.

Even infiniti who use the same system got updates...

I got a letter in the mail about it. I took it into my local dealer and it took them a few hours but it was free and my iPhone4 works great now. I can't confirm if this is only for roadsters but mine is a 2010 roadster
