Need Mic Boost?

The other threads i found about poor bluetooth mic reception did not provide a solution. So i thought i would try one more thread. I have Sport/Touring/NAV and the included Bluetooth mic doesn't seem to be doing very good job at picking up my voice. Even speaking loudly doesn't help very mucy; people on other end say i sound low in volume.

Is this the car/bluetooth/mic, or is it my Blackberry?

Is there a way to boost reception on the mic? I'd really like to take advantage and be able to use the handsfree talking, but so far it has proven difficult to use reliably.

I think it's your phone. I don't have any issues with my Bluetooth being too quiet.

that might make sense if it were the mic on the actual phone that was being used....'cause then it would be obstructed due to sitting in the cup holder. But the mic in the car is unobstructed????

Everyone says i sound clearer in the car than i do when i'm actually using my phone. It sounds louder, and they say i sound louder and clearer.

Its the mic (at least in my opinion) these mic's are not very good, have read time and time again that they do not pick up sound very well. I have it paired with my Blackberry (poor sound) and my girlfriends I Phone (poor sound) no phone seems any better or worse.

thanks weapon, i think? but that is of no help to me as my situation, as described above, does not match yours.

So, if that is the case, does anyone know of any mod or 3rd party add-on or hack to improve this performance?
