$300.00 / 31 day lesson

As you guys know i finally got my stuff installed last weekend.(2 weekends ago) Did not do much with the car this past week getting ready for trip to NYC. Got back in town Monday morning and started playing with stereo and noticed right front speaker (waffling) at certain points on certain songs. So i call online car stereo to talk with them about it , they tell me that warranty is only 30 days which expired yesterday ????? So poof goes $300.00:mad: and by the way volume has never even been up past 1/2 way !!
Oh well that's the way ot goes , but won't spend any more money with them.

Shop?

What pieces did you buy?

If you bought a head unit it could have over powered your speaker.

Actually underpowered is much more likely head units only put out 22 watts tops RMS. Unless he is using the stock speakers and in that case it could damage them with loud volume. But as he said he did not go up very high.

OP if they are aftermarket speakers I would go back and argue with them. Unless it is clearly stated on their return policy or receipt than I would argue for them to fix the problem.

They might of even reversed the polarity of the speaker.

What are the brands used? Also the shop could of installed used products but I can not say only thoughts about things that could of happened.

Don't know what you are asking or implying ? Shop ? the shop did not install the speakers , so there is no blame on them. If you or implying that a shop should have installed them ? (i wont waste my time) Clarify !!

Let's see here questions:
The pieces in my system or Clarion vx409 head unit. Jl audio 500/5 amp. Rear tweets (pioneer) dont have number off hand. WAC.custom sub box. And Punch 10" sub. The speakers are Boston pro 60's (components).
The only thing the shop hooked up was the steering wheel control (programmed it only) and the trigger for the video (tr-7).

Than it would not e there fault it would be whoever tuned your amp or did not. Speakers hate clipped power and can damage them even with a high end amp.

Lesson learned!!! , i usually deal with onlinecarstereo and woofers etc. never had a problem till now. Mostly woofers etc...

This is why I say you're better off buying from an authorized dealer. All the online companies give youin house warranty and repair alot of product theirselves.

Amp is at same settings now , put the pollyfill in the sub box and cranked it to 1/2 to 3/4 all day yesterday and other speakers are fine. Don't think amp settings had anything to do with it. LEFT SPEAKERS ARE FINE !!!
