Front speaker that fit without mods

ok cool, do you believe it will sound pretty good with better speakers? Any technical specs I should be looking for in speakers to match my head units, ohms, etc...

How about these polk speakers?, will these make things sound better?

Polk Audio db6501 6-1/2" component speaker system at Crutchfield.com

As long as the speakers are a 4 ohm load you will be fine and most are. The one thing you should look at is the efficiency the higher the db's the louder the speaker will be and the more efficient it will be with the power you give it. But also keep in mind bigger speakers require more power still because of the bigger drivers on the speakers. It is sort of a +/- thing. They will sound better than your factory ones, although not sure with a stock head unit in a z never tried. But still will be better.

I don't have the stock head unit, I have a kenwood dnx-5120. Will I need the speaker spacers?

Yes just make sure to not cover the drainage holes in the bottom of the doors. It can get messy.

I just ordered the Polk db6501's myself.
Gonna have them running off a Rockford Fosgate Punch P400-2 amp.
I'm really interested to see how much better it will sound.

You think it'll be too loud?
I was going to go with the Rockford 75x2 but just found a nice deal on this amp.
