Default Nav + Music Box HD

Just picked up my 370Z which is in shop having paint protection applied.

While waiting I've been reading the Nav manual and am confused as it seems to imply that the only way to load mp3s and Cds into the music box is to "record them while playing"

Is there a simple way of just copying an entire CD to the music box hard drive?

Help please!

u can only record one cd at a time. But you dont have to listen to the whole cd. It takes 15 minutes to rip one cd to the hard.

Thats the only way to tranfers music to the music box...
tomnavone, is right that you have to listen to the whole cd to have it ripped
to the hard drive. I may suggest using the media card instead, its much quicker.

Those are conflicting statements..

It will record the entire cd in about 15 minutes. No need to listen to the CD while it's recording. No you cannot transfer from the CF card.

Thanks for the insight.

I must admit I'm really surprised by this interface. 9.3 Gig at 15 minutes per CD equates to about a month and a half of intefacing to load the HD.

Is this standard for the other HD systems out there?

I agree texasviking my confusion
Sorry for not making it clear, but I meant for the Op to use A media card to add his music to from his Pc, and then insert it into the medai slot. this would be quicker than to rip the music to the hard drive.

@Trips: I know you know your stuff, just giving you some $hit lol

@OP: Go with Trips recommendation about using a CF card with music loaded from the PC... The 15 min. Limitation does suck.
