I don't have the metra but i have the pac and the same issues , it programmed fined but the controls don't work. The troubleshooting says remove resistors and retry. I'm quitting and taking it to a local shop for this ???

metra says to use a 12k ohm resistor during programming the unit and then remove it. I will try this and hope it works......

I used a 12k ohm resistor (10 +1+1 from radio shack) and the auto programming 1/2 works... i.e. volume up / down works nothing else does far.
But I am happy for now.

The reason to use the 12k resistor ... JVC bought kenwood so the axxess sees the HU as a JVC and hence fails to work.

Well good news they finally got it right !!!! everything works great. The only issue is they could not get the pac "park break" tr-7 trigger to work. But they were able to bypass it and put a switch in for me. Got my car back together only need to install the sub. Got a "Rockford P3s" should be good enough for what i need.

i love it, so does my wife. she has helped me a lot with the install.

I might reconsider the seek up/down buttons not working, however not sure what I want to do, or how I want to address them for now the volume up/down works and nav is great!!
