Signal Wires from HU: HU -> PAC -> Scoche Harness -> Factory. Other Wires from HU: HU ->Scoche Harness -> Factory Also keep in mind, some wires from the PAC (like power and ground) will connect to the Scoche Harness.

I think someone in this thread said it was not important to have the PAC. I would have to disagree. When I originally had the pack installed I did not tune the PAC(line outs) adn sound became very distorted with alot of white noise in the back round. After I "tuned"the line outs the sound quality is great ( I think much better than factory ) |

Interestingly enough, as I was asking you guys about the LOC, I also emailed Crutchfield with the same question. The guy told me all I would need to get it to work right was:
Nissan/Subaru Receiver Wire Harness For select 2007-up Nissan and 2010-up Subaru models at Crutchfield.com You'd think if there were HU's frying right and left from bad installs, they would know about it. I'll probably still pick up one to be safe. I remember in my old RSX, I just bypassed the BOSE amp entirely. Last edited by JACKPAC; 02-14-2011 at 05:11 PM. |

When you order your wiring harness make sure it has a orange wire(not all do ) the orange wire is for day/night illumination for your new radio or auto dimming for night time. you can do without it but those touch screens can get pretty bright at night.. I actually picked up 2 wiring harnesses so I could pull some pins out of the extra harness and plug them in to the harness I would use for my install. this made installing the Axxess steering wheel controller much easier. i did not have to cut into the factory harness at all, just made sure I labeled the new pins on my aftermarket harnes to match up with the facory harness steering whell controlls. all wiring could be basicallly done outside the car and just plugged in during the install. |

Proper pin for your Z's audio wiring harness with Axxess
hope this comes through and may have been posted before, but this is the correct pin out for the Z. Axxess site is incorrect. If you want your access steering wheel controls work use the attached diagram for your Z wiring harness.
