bazooka subs..hotness

check out my most recent project that i did in my garage.
i installed 2 bazooka 6" sub tubes. one is as bta6250 class D powered tube(self-contained. the other is the bt6018 passive 6" tube being driven off of the first tube.
I also ordered the nice metal ring mounts from bazooka. I mounted them to a piece of laminate wood flooring i had lying around. this was just the right height to match up to the existing plastic floor in the Z.

I then got some vinyl that matches the sim leather in the Z. I had a friend do the double stitch to match the double stitch that is on the center console of the Z. it looks exactly the same!!

I then made a custom fiberglass piece to cover the gap between the tubes.
covered it and stitched it to match.

I then installed the 370Z logo on it.

I love how oem it looks!

It sounds really really good. If you are a HUGE bass head, then probally not good enough for you, but for me, the tight punchy bass is great. bass guitar sounds great. tom sawyer from rush is awsome! it goes real low on songs that are meant for it. low enough that is vibrates the hairs on your arms.

let me know what yall think and give me some of those cool rep points!

That actually looks really nice, and you did not have to sacrifice much space. Good work.

Congrats on thinking outside the box. Clean in my opinion.

As much as I hate bazooka subs, I have to admit that looks really nice. Great job!

Looks really good! The stitching's a nice touch.

thanks guys! they kind of remind me of some kind of old fashion, fancy coachwork luggage or something. I am SO amped (pun intended) about how they turned out i keep going out to the garage to check them out!

Whats wrong with using a Bazooka tube? I have one in my Z and I love it.

By the way....it looks great!!

i secured a Premier PRS-D2200T class fd 2 channel amp for a great price. its sitting in my basement until i save up (read wife forgets about last mod) enough for the TS-C720PRS - Pioneer Premier 6.75" Component Speaker System. then my system will be complete. (until i think i need a head unit ;)

In two words boomy and sloppy bass. The tubes are just for adding boomy bass to audio not quality.

not at all with the 6" tubes...very tight and punchy.

Thats far from true. A tubular enclosure canbe very efficient. Also looks like he used a passive radiator to get more output without any added power. I dont care for bazooka but I like teh approach here.

I dont think I've ever heard of a 6" Bazooka tube described as boomy.
