Motorola Cliq bluetooth
I am having trouble with my Cliq and the bluetooth in my '10 with nav. The Cliq is an Android 1.5 phone. I have it paired with the car but it keeps connecting then disconnecting over and over. Sometimes it settles down with a steady connection and I can use the phone hands free but other times it doesn't. Anyone else have a Cliq or an Android 1.5 phone they are having problems with?

No problems with my Milestone, not sure which phone the Cliq is but with my Milestone,if you touch an hold screen you can bring up a menu that has widgets app,in there is a power control that allows you to turn on the bluetooth power control there.
Also in the settings menu you will find Wireless and network settings, with bluetooth enable and bluetooth settings Your phone should be listed under device name, and its pairing , make sure that its not looping make discoverable, if your in a parking lot , it could be searching for other devices. |

Maybe I was looping the discoverable mode, it was check on so I turned it off. We'll see if that helps.

Well after about 2 weeks I keep having the same problem. I made sure my phone was not in discoverable mode but it doesn't help. Most of the time my phone continually connects and disconnects every 30 seconds or so. When this happens the phone appears connected, I can see the phone book and everything but when I try to place a call (during the short period of time it is connected) it tells me the call failed. The funny thing is, every once in a while it works just fine and I can make calls and it doesn't do the disconnect reconnect thing. Any other suggestions?

I have the Incredible and don't have any issues, nor did I have any with my previous LG Touch. You problem may be with the Android version. Since it doesn't sound like it's the car, you'll probably get more help over at androidforums.com
Also can you have a friend who has BT on their phone and test with it? If it works fine, then you know it's your phone. |
