iPad on Z
 

I'm so excited I'm going to install an iPad on my Z. I'm going to replace the head unit and just use iPad as the central device for audio and GPS.

We just ordered the dash piece from Nissan and the installation will begin next week which he said it would take about 3 days.

To be honest I don't know what to expect in terms of how good the new dash would be, but let's hope it would look good.

Slightly bad news folks, it took longer for the parts to arrive. They said it would take 7 business days since it's coming from the east coast. So I'm assuming it would be here next thursday (roughly). I'm gonna send my car the following monday so I can use it over that weekend.

So 2 weeks from now I believe. I'll keep you guys updated.

It's going to be in that area yes. The guy said that since the iPad is big and the space is tight, he may have to relocate the Power button, which makes sense since I want it to be flushed in with the dashboard.

Ah it's the dashboard area where the compartment, head unit etc are.. sorry for a lack of a better term

Will you be able to remove it easily? Easy removal I think is a must so you can sync it.

@370Z JT: Yeah but it's gonna be slightly lower. Somewhat the iPad slightly blocks the top panels where the oil temp etc are.

@labk888: Yup totally. I don't like the idea of leaving an iPad on the z :) I don't like losing my iPad but I don't like my Z gets smashed even more :(
