Default JVC KW-XG700 Reciever

Howdy folks. I've been kinda looking at this head unit to replace my stock base receiver. I kinda like it because it still sorta looks stock with an orange glow and big silver buttons and kinda matches the 370's interior. I don't really care about a touch-screen, DVD, or Navigation. It does have an adapter for Bluetooth or iPods if I ever want to use them. So I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this receiver, good or bad, and how is the sound quality?

I installed one in a saab 9-3 aero about a month ago. The head unit acted.... strange. When first powering up it would automatically open for a cd and not close unless one was provided. After calling JVC they really did not say much about it and sense it was bought off ebay they would not honor the warranty. He says he has no other problems but that one. From what I read this is a problem other people have been having as well. Of corse keep in mind this was a double din touch screen. If you re going single din look at alpine.

Cool, thanks. I want to stick with a double-din just so it won't look like some space was wasted. Here is a pic of the unit I'm thinking about. Not really interested in a touch screen. I kinda want to make it look stock/retro.
