What's the best HU?
Hey there. I'm looking for advice / pics on what the best head unit install would be on my new 40th Z.
Needs are: Gps iPhone integration Backup cam Bluetooth XM I want the cleanest install I can get- meaning is it possible to reuse my existing factory XM antenna, Bluetooth mic, steering wheel controls etc. I'm a stickler for design so dash light color match is important too. :P What's the best one? Should I just have an OEM system installed? |

Alpine makes several really nice Double din units. The blue display they default with will match your Audi. I am not big fan of Pioneer and Kenwood but they do seem to have the best navigation. The Navigation in the Alpine is ok but not to the level of a Garmin or Magellen GPS unit. My best advice for you is to go on Crutchfields.com and look at all of thier double din units and pick the one that YOU like best. Who cares what we think, really! As long as you stay with a trusted name you will get a quality unit.

All double din head units explain what you are asking for. None will allow you to use your factory antenna. Your only chance for that to work would be to splice into the antenna wires but I have never tried this. The kenwood 6140 is a great unit so is the alpine w900. If you are looking for a more specific feature let us know. All will be able to be controlled threw the sterring wheel controls with a pac adapter.
