I don't care for watching video while driving, I just want to be able to type an address onscreen or browse the menus to find a caller. @z370z: Nah-uh .

The switch works as it should - it simply cuts the the vehicle speed sensor. My installer did say that grounding the parking brake was not the correct way, he put 2 relays on it instead, otherwise your radio will always think your parking brake is engaged. Not sure what the harm in that is but I guess being able to turn it on and off with a switch is better than completely cutting it and grounding it.
Anyways, your GPS won't be jerky at all. In fact, when you the switch is on, the screen doesn't move at all, the GPS thinks your sitting still. When you turn it off, you have to wait a bit for the GPS to poll the satellites to "find you" again.
