Just out of curiosity. How often do you really use your navi? I use my Garmin maybe once every couple of months.

I just ordered a Kenwood DNX6960 which is enroute. Having researched everything, my feeling is that it has the best navigation (Garmin) with all the options available. In my situation, I've ordered the steering wheel control harness, traffic receiver, Sirius receiver, backup camera, and iphone harness. The unit also streams music over bluetooth, controls an iphone with the harness attached, includes Parrot Bluetooth (one of the best). Overall, it's the whole ball of wax. There is a DNX9690 model that adds some fluff like 3D buildings in the nav, DD 5.1 surround sound, etc but it costs about 2/3 more than the 6960.

I'll post a nice review and video of usage once it's installed. Going in on April 17.

.....I think Garmin has the best Nav, so I'd go Kenwood too if I were going for an integrated unit. I really use Nav infrequently, so a $125 Portable Garmin is fine for my use..

THis is why I won't buy a car without factory nav. It just looks so much classier...

function over form IMO; id rather have all the functions of the aftermarket, even if it doesnt look OEM. the cost of navigation would pay for an aftermarket unit plus a decent sound system.

I read a lot of reviews where Pioneers had problems. The best reviews have come from the Kenwood DNX5140 (no bluetooth) and DNX6140 (bluetooth). I'm actually thinking about getting the latter myself.

I use a TomTom - the best IMO. I bought an extender so I can stick it to the left side of my front windshield and tap the screen with my left-hand fingers without my hand leaving the steering wheel. These portable GPS systems are far better (again IMO) since you can connect them to you computer and upload different screen colors, latest POIs etc. without having to buy expensive DVDs. TomTom charges nothing for the 1st year for map updates and $80 or so thereafter. Plus when a fancier GPS comes out I can give my wife the old one and get the latest and greatest for myself
