had the 5140. lackluster system if you want my two cents. i sold it and just never replaced my radio, sweet sweet exhaust audio in my 06 350Z

Had the aviv 90bt in my last car, it needed an software upgrade to make it boot faster, which they came out with. But it still kinda messed up on the bluetooth while talking and stuff so when I traded in I kept it in the car and they gave me an extra grand for it. I bought it from Amazon for $500 brand new.

I HAVE! I have since day one. A Garmin 275WT fits in perfectly with it's windsheild suction bracket mounted to the machine. It "wedges" in the cubby, and doesn't move thanks to the rubber windshield suction mount's friction. You have to find a place to hide the wires though. I'll get you a pic if I have some free time.

I even have the screen tilted towards me. I love the setup. It's like Garmin and Nissan designed the cubby together. No drilling for me.

Oh, and it gets perfect satellite signals from inside the cubby as well, free FM traffic monitoring. I was thinking of buying a few of them now in case mine broke, or they change the dimensions.

i personally dont like the interface for tomtom, has old garmin in the other car, i think kenwood will be my choice then :)

I charge it with the power wire out the side of the cubby. It's the traffic antenna. It's really easy to pull in and out.

hmmm. dont they fall or move aroung while driving?? looks like there is a gap each side of the navigation.

And I thought it would be hard to see the navi since the cover is poped out. u know, it does not go in-ward when its opened, does it?

it may be unlikely that a aftermarket system will be in the cubby anytime soon; it took quite a while for someone to put one in a 350Z, and it was impossible to do it with any double-din from what i heard; the only way it was done was through the building of custom carputers. there was no way to fit the depth of a double-din in there, so people were building systems that utilized thin LCD touchscreens in the cubby.

Yep, the depth is almost there for a double din but the issue I found was that the sides narrow as you go back so it is not the same dimensions in the opening as the rear.

I think if you want a double din then you need to mount it where the stock radio is and if you want additional items (HKS Camp II or something) then a simple screen up top will fit easily.

yeah might as well double the screen use for the navi and FI gauges and keep the lower area dedicated for music. i always hated having to switch over to the audio screen just for basic functions when youre using the nav to get somewhere. idk FI and doubledins are both things i cant afford right now anyways so guess it wont be bothering me anytime soon

use the cubby for a touchscreen monitor and there is a program out there that can throw different gauges on the screen and you will be able to interact with it but its pretty expensive. It would be great if it wasnt so expensive.

HKS Camp II is around 500-600, add in a screen (does not have to be touch) is around 100-200 and overall that is not that much. There are add ons to the HKS system which will give you more readings if you want. I finally got to see the system in action (it was plugged into a Pioneer Z110-BT only though), but it looks fantastic overall. It lagged on the RPM readings, though I would not use that gauge, but everything else was pretty damn close to real time readings.
