it can run between 800 and 1200 depending on where you get it and if you purchase the optional laser diffuser...

Nice job! I am somewhat partial to Kenwood myself, as there are so many accessories which can be added. HD Radio can be nice if you listen to alot of FM too.

Regarding the radio, did you use the typical Nissan wire harness and antenna adaptor? Were any amplifier integration kits needed to work with the bose amp?

yes just wire harness kits needed, no special amp adapter or anything, just wire to wire for the factory cable, power the bose amp with remote output from the headunit which is on the factory plug, and be sure to wire up the ant power to the adapter cable for the am/fm.. Be advise when changing out headunits there will be 2 cables unused from factory headunit, I believe they are xm and onboard security through the factory headunit which controlls the beeps and horn honks when using the fob or door button to lock or unlock, however if someone were to unlock the doors without the fob or door button the alarm will still work, just will not get any confirmation beep or honk with locking and unlocking the car. Still haven't found a fix for that issue, Im just going to go with an aftermarket alarm and get the smartstart setup to make it worth it.

The gear shifter bezel just pops off. You unscrew the two kick panels and pull them off first. Then unscrew the panel that surrounds the OEM head unit.

Ok I'll try that. I ordered a kenwood dnx6140 and they sent me the 2010 model dnx6960. Invoice said 6140 and everything. I'm not complaining. Its a nice upgrade. The only difference may be the software. Thats about all I can see from the screenshots posted on this thread compared to AK's thread. I'm going to try the Axxess steering control adapter and see if that works better than the PAC one.

How do you run the antennas(navi/sirius) and bluetooth from the headunit?

Wow, I like the red leather!

No offense but you chose a really bad place to mount your amp! In a high profile car like your Z thats just asking to get jacked with your audio gear hangin out in the open like that. You really should relocate that amp as soon as possible like behind the drivers seat or in the spare tire area.

However your radar system is really sweet.
