Default Mounting woofer to enclosure.

Hey guys,

I'm about to mount my fosgate sub into the sealed enclosure i got. The box came with no wires, gasket, plug, but it does have the terminal cup mounted. The entire box is carpeted.

1. What gauge wires should i use to connect the sub to the terminal cup?
2. Do i need to buy some plugs to connect the wires to the terminal cup? Banana plugs maybe? i know that you directly insert the wire into the subwoofer but to the terminal cup, it seems like i need some kind of a plug to connect it.
3. Do i need some sort of a rubber gasket or a seal to put between the sub and the box to ensure an air tight fit? I don't want a leaky setup. If so, where can i get one? FYI, the entire box is covered with carpet, even where the screws would go in to mount the sub.

Thanks in advance guys.

14 gauge or 12 gauge is fine
No banana plug needed just put into the terminal weather it is a push down or a screw type connector.
No rubber gasket needed.
Make sure to pre drill the holes before screwing down the sub.

Thanks Big, but there is no way to just connect the wire to the terminal. So we're clear, i'm talking about the side of the terminal that's inside the box. It's just a little protruding piece of copper and the only way to connect it seems like to tie the wire around it, which won't be stable at all...

your best bet is to solder it to the connector. if thats no an option then resort to a connector.
