New headunit for 10 370Z
 

Well, I've looked on here a bit but not found really what I'm looking for. I just purchased a 2010 Z and I'm not impressed with the stereo at all. It's a base model Z with the basic stereo setup. I wasn't going to change it but now I'm considering it. My deal is this......I'm really weird about matching everything up. Sooooo, I'm looking to find a headunit that will somewhat match the lighting in our cars. I don't need navigation or anything crazy. I just want a unit that I can run off of the steering controls and have some decent options. Just gonna run new door speakers and a single 10" Sub. Any ideas???? Thanks in advance for any help!

yah, just check the backlighting specs at crutchfield. mine has a whole spectrum of colors to choose from. so it matches very well to the rest of the car.

I found a DDin Kenwood that has quite a few backlighting options. I may go with it. Only bad reviews are that it is pretty dim during the day but I don't know that it will be a problem. Most of the threads posted I had already checked out and those headunits were the complete opposite of what I'm looking for. Thanks for posting them regardless.

I want to say something. I'm a Kenwood fanboy and will always be, but I wish they would change the UI and make it look more "oem" if you know what I mean. The navigation for example, looks cartoon-ish and sort of cheap. Does anyone feel me?

I love the kenwood interface of the double dins. Very clean IMO

On the DNX6140, I've found if you take the Orange Preset and add a bit of red to it, its a perfect match for the Nissan Orange dash. save that as a custom color and you are good to go.
