So I finally finished my install a couple of weeks ago, and I'm just getting around to posting up remaining topics and pics. I'll do another post and link in all previous posts.
So here is a cheap way to do your tweeter brackets. Some might call this redneck, but what the hell...I do live in Arkansas! I simply used the cardboard box material that the component speakers came in, as they were very thin and sturdy; and I was also tired of going out and looking for materials here and there. |

There is an even cheaper way just cut out the factory speaker from its bracket and use that one. It is what I did. Look good are you going to paint them?

Not a good idea if you want to put the stockies back in when trading in or selling the car.

I really hadn't considered painting them, but now that you mention it, I probably should because if you look dead on the tweeters with some light, the color of the cardboard definitely shows thru the covers.
