Speaker install help.
Hey guys,
As I type this, my car's door panels and stock speakers are out. I am replacing them with a set of 6.5" Pioneers, and am noticing that there is no way to fit this thing without a spacer. Can you confirm? If i need the spacers, is Zenclosures the best source to get them? Thanks in advance. Tim |

Yes. You need them. Call Zenclosures and give them your exact speaker opening needed for the spacers. He makes different diameter openings in his spacers. You may need longer bolts for the install. The ones that come with the kit were a little short.

Do you have base or touring? If you have touring, the Zenclosure spacer is different. I have a template I can send you if this is the case for you. See my post here.

You need them either make them yourself or buy them from zenclosures.

Front speaker idea
I just installed a set of Polk Momo 6.5" in the doors. I took the stock speaker and cut out all of the middle of it. I then mounted the polk right onto the original round part of the frame of the old speaker. I had to buy 1 1/2" #8 bolts to make it to the bottom part of the speaker frame. I gave it some strenth by using metal dowl pins. It worked great. I'll post some photos soon
