Nav Night Time Screen

Hey Guys, Shouldn't the Nav screen change to night/day mode automatically? Mine just stays in one mode until I change it. Is this normal?

You mean you change it manually when you flip your lights on? Or do you mean it should change automatically when it's dark outside?

Mine doesn't change with the lights or when it is dark. Is this normal?

I know my garmin nav unit will change the colors to a "nighttime" scheme on its 6 or 7pm ( i dont remember). i would imagine other nav units would do the same?

My Nav goes to NIGHT mode when the lights are on and its dark-ish out.

Yours might be "locked" in Day mode. From pg 11-4 of the Nav manual:

"Symptom: The screen does not switch to the night screen even after turning on the head-lights.

Possible cause: The daytime screen was set the last time the headlights were turned on.

Possible solution: Set the screen to the night screen mode using <Day/Night> when you turn on the headlights."

Thank you! I will try it!
