Breaking In New Speakers
Hey guys,
How do you guys break in your new speakers? Any specific methods? i.e. starting off with x amt of volume then after x amt of hours, raise the volume x amt after x intervals, etc. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Tim |
I listen to mine at a normal listening mode almost as if you could talk to someone that is in the car. As the week goes on the volume goes up and up to allow the speakers to stretch a bit. Basically what your doing is allowing the glues inside the speaker to settle and become hard, and also as I said allowing them to stretch a bit. Also each system is different and you can not just go by volume X as well as the sound of some speakers change after break in, so some tuning might be in order after that.

i just listen to them normally. on top of the glues and materials breaking in, you're also aging the voicecoil which add a tad more flavor and warmth in some speakers.
now most junk speakers, they will remain junk. :D so just listen to them as usual. |
ok thanks guys.
