Bluetooth Compatibility question
Hello...
Just wondering if anybody out there has any experience with either the Palm Pre or Blackberry Tour 9630 and bluetooth connectivity with the Z. I heard that there were some connection problems. Any clarification would be much appreciated as I need to figure out which phone to get that works with my car. Much oblige in advance. |

I currently have the Palm Pre and have not recently had any problems connecting using Bluetooth. I did have some difficulties earlier. I have been unable to transfer my phonebook. That said, here is a link of what is compatible.
Nissan Bluetooth Wireless Phone Technology - Nissan USA Nissan Sites:Bluetooth_MS.Button6 The status of the Palm Pre is it is "being tested" it has been in this status for quite a while. Hope this link helps. |

Palm Pre
Thanks for the post Super Z...
I had been a little leery about getting the Palm Pre because of various issues with other Nissan bluetooth compatibility with the phone... Did you have to do any major fixes to get the Pre to work? I heard that there was a tremendous amount of static which made the phone unusable... Thanks in advance... |

No, I did not have any major fixes to get my Pre to work. There have been some software updates for the Pre. I do not have any static problems. The only issue with static has been on the other end of the call, when the other person's bluetooth headset battery is low. To make sure your Z and Pre sync, I think you just have to make sure Bluetooth is turned on on your Pre prior to starting your Z.
The only quirky thing is I have not been able to use Bluetooth to transfer my phonebook to the Z. If Sprint is your cell provider, I believe if you get the Pre and do not like it you can return it within 30days for a different phone. (double check me on this one). |
