Please tell me you are getting an amp installed for those speakers? Any why did you invest in rear speakers?

Opps
It was moments after I posted that last reply that I realized that I forgot to mention the amp. It's a JL G4500 4-channel amp. I had many a discussion with the custom shop about the sound of the unit without a sub-woofer but they insisted that the JL speakers would handle the lower frequencies. They had to install the amp directly behind the passenger seat. They tried to locate it under the passenger seat but the amp sat up too high to allow proper adjustment of the seat. I only notice it when I tilt the seat so it stays concealed otherwise.
The stock NIsmo comes with 4 speakers: 1 in each door & 2 tweeter located on the top of the dash. That's it! The custom shop installed 2 additional 4" speaker behind the seats. They said that there are speaker grills already there but NO speakers! They replaced the tweeters and door speakers and add the the 2 additional 4" speakers. I'll never forget the reaction of the guys when I inquired about the comparing the JL speakers to Fosgates..They kinda looked at me like I was some sort of amatuer (which I am), smirked and said: "Are you kidding?". Case closed! I'll have some pics later today. But from my perspective, I did good with the recommendations the custom shop recommended. I'm thoroughly impressed with the performance of the Pioneer unit matched with the JL amp/speakers. I've never seen or heard a head unit that has so much versatility but most important is that the sound is incredibly clean. You really can't go wrong with this system. I was playing with it last night and almost fell asleep in the car! I'll get the pics posted later. Steve |
