I went after market, I am darn glad I did. My Pioneer is far batter than the bose nav in my IPL. Trust me go after market you won't be disapointed.

In their brochure Nissan advertises the nav system for about 2k- is that accurate or are they going to try to charge me more for labor? I noticed the last post was from a few years ago, so any updated info would be much appreciated. Thanks!

It's not impossible, but you're better off looking for one with nav already. You may end up spending over $6k for all the parts and labor. The controller alone is $4,297.38

here's where you can find what parts you will need

Thanks for all the responses. It seems like its a much better idea to purchase aftermarket parts. Anyone know of a system that has GPS and video?

All of them do. It's pretty much a standard feature these days.
