Detailed instructions are on that site. I just thought it was interesting and thought I'd share.

Pretty cool I just think once it gets past say 2 miles your pretty well screwed. Yes alarms can notify you that something is going on but if your 2 miles away say on a roller coaster or even walking a mall your screwed. At least you will know something is going on just will not be able to do much about it.

That being said being able to remote start from a long distance is pretty cool.

I origianally saw this on Autoblog HERE

I think they mentioned that it was more for the guy to remote start his car so it would be warm, rather than some sort of alarm alert. The phone stays in the car and activates the remote start, it's not to alert you when something is going off.

Ya which is cool but I know there is an alarm equivalent to it that I do not see the purpose of.

big, i think that's a remote starter, not an alarm? :icon17:

would suck if someone dialed your car due to a wrong number...via fax. :icon14: constant starting and over starting.

^^^ I know but I know they make an alarm like it.

Or you could pay $500 bucks plus $10 a year for Viper SmartStart. Either way.
