Want to install a Back-Up camera
I have a 2016 370Z and did not come with a back up camera and looking for a descent camera. I see them from $49 and up and don't to waste my money on and be unhappy. What have you installed?

I've installed a wireless backup camera for my younger sister. Purchased on Amazon. Camera mounts to rear license plate, can adjust angle, gets power from reverse light, and wirelessly send signal the little screen that comes with the pkg.
Subjective experience: Image delay is no more than the OEM setup in Nissan, to my surprise. Day time resolution is a little lower than OEM. Low light video is a little choppier than OEM. It was "anything was way better than nothing" type of situation, so I did not scrutinize the image quality and smoothness. Lighting makes a big difference for night time video quality. Change rear backup light, or even add more light source will help with any camera (aftermarket rear fog that lights up, or even reputable LED light bar mounted under rear bumper). If image quality is of the utmost important, then to be honest, I don't think our OEM setup is good enough anyway.

No reason to spend a fortune on a backup camera. Either buy cheap and be ready to buy another one when it breaks. Or spend a bit more to avoid the cheap ones with QC issues.
As cv129 pointed out, you'll need a screen if you don't already have one. The OEM nav screen works or you can install a aftermarket headunit with a screen or you can get a rearview mirror with a built-in screen (Gentex makes an affordable one).

OEM ones, during test drives, yes. Too small for wife and I. We are relatively small people, so image size may be acceptable for someone taller and more eye level with the rear view mirror.

Fyi, I talk so much here because wife wanted a smurf blue Z for the longest. It was very hard to find, plus it must be sports pkg, auto, and backup camera on NAV screen. It was unicorn status, we struggled mucho with making compromises.
Smurf was only available for 09-12, and early years car (09 for sure) can have Nav screen but without rear view camera. Ok my crazy ramble is over.

I'm planning to install an Auto-Vox V5 PRO. Install seems fairly simple. Routing looks easy. It's more expensive as it's a two camera dashcam as well. But you may want to install a rear view mirror based system. I think if you replace your double din most of them have an RCA input for a backup camera as well. I think you wire the camera to turn on when the reverse light is on and they automatically show the RCA feed when they get it but don't quote me on that.

Backup Camera and Android HU. No Regrets.
I spent $25.99 on Amazon for the following backup camera. It has a clear image both day and night.
Description from Amazon eRapta ERT01 2nd Generation Car Rear View Reversing Backup Camera Automotive with 149°Perfect View Angle 8 LED Lights Night Vision 9 Level Waterproof Universal Car Backing Camera License PlateI paired it with the Android HU from Joying. Not sure the cost now as it is unavailable on Amazon. I think maybe it was $280. Description from Amazon JOYING Car Stereo Double Din Android 8.1 Car Radio 7" Touchscreen 4GB RAM 64GB ROM Car Navigation Zlink/Android Auto/Built-in DSP/Bluetooth/WiFi/Video Out/Dash Cam/OBDII/TMPSBoth work well together. The screen on the Android HU is larger enough to clearly see what is going on behind you when backing up. The camera is adjustable with regards to the tilt of the camera lens. Best of luck in your search.

Bought something very much like this 9 years ago and still going. Might just have been lucky.

I use this one, it is seemless and the video quality is really good. It integrated easily into my pioneer head unit. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
