Rec. compact 2 channel amp

Is there any reason you've decided not to run a 4-channel amp? Also, I'm trying to figure out how you have this setup... if you have the two door speakers

Is there any reason you've decided not to run a 4-channel amp?

Also, I'm trying to figure out how you have this setup... if you have the two door speakers on one channel, are they only playing on the left or the right channel, or are all speakers playing in stereo but just separated by frequency due to the crossover... how is/was your old amp setup? Additionally, if you have 2x sets of components, that would be 8x speakers (4x tweeters/4x mids)... what are the other 4x speakers doing (and where are they mounted)?

...or do you have a component set in the front (doors/tweeters) and a coaxial set in the body panels next to the driver/passenger headrests, with the amp powering the components and the headunit powering the coaxials? (I'm just throwing out scenarios at this point)

Front component speakers only need 2 channels. No rears FTW

Yes but he said he had 2 sets of speakers (one set of components with the second set possibly components)... which is why I was asking where the other set was housed, how it was wired up and why he didn't look into a 4ch.
