Integrate OEM Satellite radio in aftermarket radio
2011 Bose Audio no Nav, I am changing the head unit to a double DIN JVC unit that can do Sirius if you add an XM tuner. Is there a way to integrate the one that is already in the car to the aftermarket unit? search turned up nothing.

So I earmarked this (the370.com/mic-Sirius-xm) awhile ago for when I replace my factory stereo because I didn’t want extra wires, antennas and mics. I think you can get away with reusing the antenna but I think u need still need the tuner, but if the aftermarket radio u have has the tuner built into it then might be able to get an adapter like this Maestro-HRN-ANT-SAT1-Aftermarket-Satellite-Antenna.
A little splicing will be required but worth it in my book. Hope this helps you out |
You can use the stock sxm antenna if you unplug it from the stock receiver in the trunk. Just remove the plastic connector on the end of the stock plug and juSt plug the wire into your after market sxm box
