OEM Bose subwoofer

Hello all, please don't fry me in grease for this. I'm considering adding the OEM sub woofer to my existing BOSE system. I bought the car used, so I don't know if it ever had one. Is there a way to tell? How would I connect the sub? Is wiring pre-existing, ala plug and play?
Thanks...

Lift up the floor and see if the connectors are there. Check power connector - if it's hot, that's a good sign. Wiring diagrams, harness routing, connector pinouts, and more are in the FSM (link in sig).

Should already be there but is someone took the sub out the connector should still be there.

Did Bose systems even come without a subwoofer? I'd imagine the connector works.

No they didn't

So I did a little search in the trunk area. I took out the carpets, spare tire, jack, etc. I didn't see any type of loose connector. I tried lifting the black foam piece that's forward of the rear tire spot, and of course, I have to dismantle the entire truck area. Anyways, I found a Bose amp underneath that foam piece. Question.... Is the amp for the entire system, or only for the sub? Either way, still didn't see any wiring that would go to the sub.

I saw another post that showed where the wiring would be. I found nothing there. This isn't worth tearing the whole trunk area apart for. I appreciate all the input, but I think I'm putting this idea to bed.

I have a 2015 with bose tech package, so yours may differ. The amp is under that black foam. It supplies all my bose speakers. There should an a purple and blue wire if I’m not mistaken with a gray plug on the end. It’s about 2 ft long. Goes from the amp to the spare wheel well area.

sub woofer is on top of the spare tire. you can't miss it once you lift up the back cover. the early touring model came with it.. not sure about the newer models.

What are you trying to accomplish?

If you want a stereo that will rattle the windows, the Bose is not what you want - rip everything out and start from scratch. bigaudiofan is a great resource and he likes to help.

If you want something that sounds good (to most people) at modest levels, it's probably worth replacing the sub and wiring - everything else is already there.

No the amp is built into the sub enclosure, the wire harness provides, power, remote turn on, ground, and signal. I'm guessing they might of cut it out

Definitely don't want anything to rattle windows. Those are annoying. I'm just looking for a little more "fullness" to the sound. If I have time one day, I'll take the trunk area apart to see what needs replacing

I have the stock Bose sub that came in my NismoTech, if you're interested. I'll let it go for cheap as it's just taking up space in the garage.
