I am guessing its considered aftermarket. Its a Pioneer 4100NEX. It came with my car (I bought my Z used).

It's aftermarket. That's an easy install. Just do what I mentioned in the my post you first responded to.

Just wanted to follow up. Got it all installed. Was my first foray into car audio. Definitely a learning experience, but feel way more comfortable with future audio upgrades.

Besides that, you were 100% right. Is the perfect OEM replacement for the Bose subwoofer and sounds MUCH MUCH better. Its how the car should have come.

Thanks again.

Me getting everything back in place:

Also made a YouTube video of me sorting out the install in case anyone else wanted to make this a project for themselves with no experience. Was a good learning experience. I can say I know just about every piece of trim, wiring route, and grommet on the Z now (since I didnt know exactly how to approach this to begin with) lol

As I was figuring out the wire routing, at one point, I had just about every single piece of trim in the back removed. Luckily, I figured out I could tap into the power outlet on the passenger side of the car for the amp remote on feature. With some quick taps, it went by super quickly afterwards. I gave up on trying to solder (especially with the thicker cables). The butt connectors made life way easier as well. All lessons learned.

Here's what I did with my remote. I'll eventually grab a rubber grommet for the hole. It had to be large enough to run the phone jack end of the cable through. Fits perfectly and doesn't move around.

That's where mine went also. A little velcro on both sides and it really doesn't go anywhere. I posted a pic in post #11
