You'll likely need to run a wire back to the factory bluetooth unit if you want the steering wheel voice buttons to activate google assistant (or whatever). They'll both do

You'll likely need to run a wire back to the factory bluetooth unit if you want the steering wheel voice buttons to activate google assistant (or whatever). They'll both do the same thing though, but better than nothing.
