Crazy idea, but i really really HATE the nav in my 2018 Nismo, i went to an audio shop and they tore down the whole system and it isnt' really upgradable to keep any of the parts, including just adding a double din above the existing control knobs for aircon/heat. They suggested that I switch to a non-nav set up. different aircon/heat knobs, plus the cubby, the put in a double din system. I'm actually thinking of a single din Alpine Halo9 iLX-F309 and put it high enough to block the cubby partially.
question: has anyone ever done this? if so, did it work? anyone see any pitfalls in this.. I can save the old system and reinstall later if need be. thanks |
