So after the initial struggle of take apart the center console, thought it would be all plug and play. After not being able to get the Hu to power on, pulled out the multimeter to check fuses and wires.
Then looked up online to find out that the 2013 factor harness pins are different and don't match up with the metra harness. Read people bought an extra harness to pull out pins to plug it, but I just started cutting wire to reroute to pin for ground. Got the logo to flash for half a second and off again in acc mode. Engine on had the button illuminate with the logo flash again. After hours of frustration called my. Brother over to take it home to have a look. Now I'm thinking the acc pin doesn't match up either lol. Was not as simple as I thought it would be. |
Nissan didn't make it easy for us 370z owners, they loved to change the layout of the pins each year. You might want to consider going with the Joying harness,
https://www.joyingauto.com/android-c...ssan-cars.html That's the one I used. |
So I finally got almost everything set up except the aswc-1. First install i'd say was pretty difficult, but learned a lot the first time and it'll be easy from here.
Getting this static/white noise whenever the radio is on, i'm guessing that's the metra harness. Contacted metra, but definitely need to take another look at that. After putting everything together I noticed that screen was shaky/flickering. Contacting joying and they provided me with an update which fixed the issue. I haven't asked Joying if the nissan harness they sell is compatible with the bose system. I know I should switch out the bose system, but that's a project for another time lol. |
