370z problems after I installed Kenwood bt322u

Installed my Kenwood single din receiver bt322u, 2012 automatic z, the 3 climate control dials light up except the dot in the very centre on all 3 do not light up, no heat or cold work, the sound from music only seem to be coming from the dash speakers, door panel speaker and the ones behind the seats are super low in volume, almost non existent, the max volume goes to 35 and it the equivalent of the oem stereo on volume 18 to 20, hardly any bass and not super clear, I played with all the eq settings to what crutchfield told me and still nothing, after driving for 1 hour, I parked, came back to my car 1 hour later and the "service engine soon" light is now on and it seems the Z goes in one gear and doesn't change automatically anymore

Kenwood killed my Z

How did the install go? Did you crimp the wires? Heat shrink wrap, solder or electric tape? Did you recheck your grounds and make sure everything was reconnected properly? I would begin again at square one and go from there. Good luck with the fix!

When I installed my AVIC-4200 there was a wire from the stock harness that had to be cut and grounded.

Zeetah we've been trying to do a video chat to get you fixed up. But honestly if you are this far in and stressed it might be time to hand it over to a shop. The things I worry about is what wires you did cut and the very little info you received from crutchfeild left you in a confused mess of what to remove out of the dash and what not to. if you can get on skype and message me I can help. You have my address in your PM's

Start the install fresh. Put the stock radio back in, and make sure everything works as it should.

Tried msging you on Skype that same day you told me to but I don't think you received my msg? But thank you for the help and advice anyway bigaudiofanat and everyone else, guys are awesome.

I'm not sure how I unplugged all the harnesses the first time from the factory radio but plugging it back in was CRAZY, I needed am extra hand to help me because there was barely any took at all and I was lost as to how easily I did it the first time. But it's all done now

But I did everything correctly and after playing with the settings it was not as loud as my factory Bose and the bass was also weaker, I read a few reviews that also stated that the Kenwood receiver wasn't that loud. I'm shipping it back. I'll live without bt for the time being. After cranking the tunes to level 5 bass and volume to 16 to 18 in the factory boss, I fell in love again lol
