BOSS audio

Hey guys, I'm looking at a replacement stereo system... I went with the base 370Z (2016) and unfortunately didn't get navigation and so I was going to get a system that kind of covers everything.

I'm looking at the BOSS BVNV9384RC (Comes with navigation, back-up camera, bluetooth, etc)

Here's the dimensions:

Width: 7.125"
Height: 4.125"
Depth: 6.875"

Big question : Will it fit?!

Here's a link if you want to check out some other specs before giving an answer:

It will. Its a standard double DIN chassis.

Hey
I would offer you the PIONEER headunit. go with 4200NEX/8200NEX or other model you like ;)
May be a little pricey but the AUDIO options are awesome.. you can tweak the sound with 13 EQ.. you can have android auto or apple carplay and many more great features.

Good luck

I would highly recommend running away from boss, pyramid, pyle and all those brands. Not worth the time and effort.

I got the cheap pioneer 2800bs, does basically everything the more expensive pioneers do, just not the fastest responding screen. Was $210. Has 3 sets of line outs 4 volts, 13 band eq, time alignment, speaker size, cross over. No car play.... Alternatively I've heard good things about some of the new kenwoods coming out later this year. Have always owned pioneer for 15+ years and never had a single problem.

Awesome guys, you're a big help. I think I'm going to go for the Pioneer 4200NEX or the Kenwood DMX7704S. It sounds like they're dang near same quality and product. If anyone here knows more, I would be interested to hear your takes.

I chose pioneer for the audio processing features noted above by markesc... not sure if Kenwood's latest offerings can match.

My pioneer (3800BHS) does have one annoying bug - whenever i disconnect the battery, my bluetooth handsfree calling stops working properly (person I am calling can not hear me at all) until I do a factory reset..... super annoying to lose all your settings and I disconnect the battery all the time to tinker with stuff.

That's good to hear. I've also heard really good things. The most important thing for me is reverse camera capability and Android Auto for GPS. I think that's what I'm going to go with, unless I hear something different on this thread about the Kenwood DMX7704S. I know some audio buffs look at this type of comparison like Ford and Chevy, but I'm definitely looking for what would look best and work best. It seems like they both got good customization options..

Do you have any pictures of that set up inside your Z (if you have one)?

If you're going to want videos to be unlocked while you drive grab one of these for video bypass.

Good looking out. I bought it along with the head unit. Got the wiring and antenna adaptor too. Also added a rear view camera and SiriusXM module. Anything else I might need?

If your HU has the capability look into an HDMI/MHL cord so you can hook your smartphone up as well for video input.

I do have this option. I think I'm going to hold off for now though. I want to get started on my install after work today lol
