Battery

Getting a new battery... I daily my Z, and don't have a crazy set up, just a 12" ported type R with an alpine 500w amp... curious if a pc680 would be fine supporting a system? Should that even matter once the car is started up? Just curious the lights kinda dim sometimes when the sub hits and the volume is decently up. I'm not very electrically educated. Lol

Your battery absorbs any voltage spikes, etc. & reduces the chance for alternator failure...being a daily driver, not sure if I'd skimp on the 20 or so pound weight savings there.
I put this Optima in mine & have had 0 problems,,,I also have them in 2 older Chevy trucks (8-10+ years old each)https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...808ab85228.jpg
Lots of different agm batteries on the market now,but my company started using these years ago & I tried them out with very good success...terminals will not corrode on these & can be mounted sideways, upside down, etc.

Seems odd that lights are dimming.... they are ballast controlled. I have 4 amps in my Z, and no issues whatsoever. Not even when the stock battery was in. You may want to look at your ground situation........

Stick with a standard battery, there is no benefit to weight savings for DD. The dimming lights is much more likely a sign of another electrical issue.

4 amps holy smokes!! where did you fit them? or do you have a fiberglass setup and all fancy in the back trunk for show? :iagree: with the ground situation grounds can screw with a lot of things double check it like others have mentioned make sure your on metal not on paint if so just grind it down a little.
