Map update issue

Does anyone know any options for the factory nav. map updates. My maps are 4 years old and would like to update but it sounds like they are number coded or something so they can't be shared.

Sadly, you have to buy the map update from nissan/infiniti. They are licensed to your cars GPS ID so they can't be copied/shared. My infiniti has the same issue.
