Recommendations for a Nizmo
I want to put a new stereo in my Nizmo. I want Ipod, Blue tooth and GPS, can I do it with better door speakers and tweeters and some type of head unit? but not the amps and woofers and big dollar stuff?

Most of today's head units that are double din will have the stuff you are looking for. If you do not want to add amps and subs that is fine. Only you will get better sound out of your new speakers with a new amp. The always great head unit choice is the kenwood 6140 and also look at alpine's you might spend a little more but I think they are worth it. Still kenwood gives them a run for their money.
New component speakers that will run good off the stock head unit. Would be something like the polk db's or the Memphis equivalent. 15-PRCS6 - Memphis Power Reference 6.5" Component Speaker Either way you are going to get even better sound and more bass out of any speaker with a external amp. Also welcome to the forum!

If you check some of your shops they might cut you a break on cost but it will not be that much. I buy from woofersetc.com or amazon for some things.

I'd look at the big name head units, like Kenwood, Pioneer, Clarion and Eclipse (sp?). Most of them have nav, bluetooth, and ipod/iphone integration built-in. The clarion I have, nx509, has to have a clarion bluetooth adapter purchased and installed along with it. Shoot me a PM if you have any nontechnical questions. I did a ton of research on the pros/cons of all the head units out there, and can help you find what you want. For your component replacements, you can choose from a lot of companies out there. Keep in mind, if you don't plan on adding an amp, don't spend too much on your speakers. Sans amp, you just won't get them to their full potential. Good luck!

i'll be purchasing the Pioneer AVICZ110BT for my Nismo soon (hopefully). It has DVD/CD/MP3 capability as well as Bluetooth and Navigation right out the box. I'll also be adding the Sirius tuner and IPod interface. It's my personal preference, and most quality head unit brands will have similar items.
Matt stated to make sure your speakers are on par with your amp and I agree. If you do not install a secondary amp and wish to use the h/u to power your speakers, try to get some separates that handle 50-75 watts RMS. Never pay attention to peak wattage, it's just an advertising ploy.

You will only be putting out 22 watts at full volume on a head unit. I have ran speakers off a head unit before with no problem. Just do not expect to get the "most" out of them without a external amp.
