Hey Guys, I'll start off here i've always been an audio guy building my own boxes etc. I had a 98' Silverado where I removed the rear seat and put 2 15's in there and had the box tuned to 20hz, miss that truck! I had a nice audio build in my last 2 Camaros as well, but i'll start off here!
First off, the first thing I did to this car was put in a SPH-DA120 Pioneer Carplay Unit, best head unit by far from what i've owned and i've owned some head units that have cost 1500+ Compared to the Alpine ILX-007 the Pioneer option has way more customizing options and features to it, just putting that out there. Front Speakers - Kenwood Kfc-P709Ps 6.5-Inch Performance Series Component Speaker System (These will probably get changed out later, but damn they sound good for what I paid) Rear Speakers - Kicker 41KSC354 3-1/2 2-Way Coaxial Speaker (I chose these for the high RMS rating with the 4ch amp i'm using) These speakers are a bit large as in magnet size, but they fit, panel sticks off just a few hairs because of magnet size Amplifier 4ch - Hifonics ZRX616.4 Zeus 4-Channel Class-A/B Car Amplifier, 600-Watt, I chose this amp because it's 75w rms Per channel, perfect for the speakers I have Amplifier Mono - Hifonics ZRX1816.1D Zeus Mono Class-D Subwoofer Amplifier, 1800-Watt, I chose this because it will run 900w rms at a 2 ohm load for my Type R 10" D4 suwoofer Subwoofer - Alpine SWR-10D4 Type-R 10" Subwoofer with Dual 4-ohm Voice Coils, This subwoofer is 1000w RMS at 2 ohm and max 3000w Here I'll start, sorry I don't have pictures of front or rear installs but I decided to document the subwoofer box building fairly well. My subwoofer box is ported, I haven't seen many "stealth" boxes for 370z with ports on it so here's a first! I'll also upload dimensions if someone wants to replicate it! I'm not greedy it's a great box, to change tuning you can just use different pipe. I'm sorry for the large pictures, I guess you'll just have to deal with it. The box cost including the beauty boards probably cost me about $100 bucks and took a total of 6 hours to complete it. This includes MDF sheet, carpet, glue, staples, pvc pipe, t nuts. I made 2x the cuts in case I found a local who wants me to make him a box ;] any takers in AZ? First off, thank you to these 2 people, you gave me great ideas ![]() ![]() Here's the dimensions for you more simple people ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() you'll need to use schedule 40 pipe, 3.5" is prefered but 4" will work, you just need more length on 4" for tuning purposes.
